Question / Help Yet another audio interface thread.

Hi, I've researched this problem all day and have read countless threads here in the forum from users who seemingly have the same problem I do but none of the solutions have worked for me. I apologize for posting ANOTHER thread on this topic but maybe I can offer some more precise information so that if I can't fix the problem I can at the very least understand why I won't be able to use OBS for what I'm trying to do...

I'd like to stream music production tutorials for some friends using my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 (3rd gen). I know that OBS doesn't natively support ASIO so I've installed both Andersama's ASIO plugin from Github and ASIO4All. I can select ASIO4All in Reason (I haven't been able to try in Ableton yet because I'm using the 90 day trial and their authentication server has been down all day) but it's nowhere to be found in OBS; all I can select is my Sound Blaster Z, Scarlett USB, microphone, or "default" (which I assume is my sound card again).

If I use the DX drivers in Reason I can get sound into OBS but Reason stops detecting the driver shortly thereafter and my PC BSOD's when I close OBS. So I think DX is not a solution, lol.

The only solution I *know* will work is if I run a cable directly from my Scarlett into my Sound Blaster line-in but I don't have an extra balanced cable right now so I get tons of high frequency screaming when I try that. If nothing else works, I will suck it up and buy a cable.

Here's my latest log file: https://obsproject.com/logs/-YkySiXtBrwIAdh_

I appreciate any help offered. If there's literally anything else I can do to get more information for someone, just let me know and I'll do my best.

Please try the folowing , it worked perfectly for me :

So I've made a minor breakthrough but still can't get it to work. When I click "add source" there is now an option for ASIO and it lists my audio interface. Naturally I was VERY excited to see this... but upon selecting it I still get no audio through OBS from my Scarlett. I can't even switch my DAW's output to my internal soundcard now... OBS won't detect that either.

Ok, I got the audio routing figured out but now there's cracking whenever OBS is running. I've read elsewhere that it could be a CPU issue but it's not because my CPU monitor isn't even registering 3% being used. Another solution I read was too many USB devices trying to write to the same port but that's not the case here either. I've tried turning down my bitrate and my video capture resolution and FPS to no avail.

I am having the sane problem when I use ableton live at the same time as OBS. But my audio is just bad sampled in OBS and Live has a pop up in the highs. It wasnt doing this at first it was just after a few weeks of using them both.

Yeah I wasn't having this problem until I started trying to use the ASIO plugin so it's probably that. I have no issue with my audio when OBS isn't running and I can stream in AMD's ReLive without any issues as well... I just prefer OBS. Oh well.
