Question / Help Xonar U7 Initializing Audio

I used onboard sound before on my G1.Sniper.M5.
Now I have a USB sound card, Xonar U7 and when I select it in the Audio settings as output and the mic input I get "failed to initialize desktop audio sound."

Can't find any solutions to this online. Help?

+1, xonar u7 does not work with obs

it's to do with settings in the xonar control panel.

Ok, killing the asus icon fixes it, the dolby icon can be kept opened
