Question / Help Xeon 1230v3 vs 1245v3 Quick Sync worth it?

Hey!

I am struggeling between getting a xeon 2130v3. I normally would just insta buy it after reading alot about it BUT i have read about the quick sync support for obs and 1245v3 is supporting it.

The question is:
Is it worth the like 40 euros more?

Also i watched a video for setting up quick sync and the guy there said that quick sync means consuming more internet bandwith while reducing CPU Usage. Is this statement correct?

I am also getting a 290 tri X OC just for information.

I am playing at 1080p and Streaming at 720p with 2,5mb upload and 5 mb download.

At the moment i am having a i5-750 @ 3,4 GHZ.

I mainly play and stream SC 2 so what is the exact benefit of quick sync for me? :)

Would be highly appreciated cause i will order the cpu in a few hours (around 1-4).

Quicksync will save you alot of trouble when it comes to streaming future games.. The 1245v3 also has a higher clock rate so it should perform better on CPU demanding games like starcraft 2.

well you lose quality ... quicksync is worth it keep in mind that you also need an motherboard which supports the igpu

then again the xeon e3 1230v3 will perform 1080p30 without even having a problem since its technically kind of the same as the i7 4770 besides the igpu in this case the xeon e3 1245v3 will be even more equal compared since the higher clockrate and the igpu also the xeons dont have the bad thermal compound under the ihs which means they run cooler and also got a better stock cooler
