Question / Help x264 or Quick Sync?

Hello there, once again.

Quick question!
What would be best for Fast motion games, like CSGO; x264(preset on faster) or Quick Sync?
I'm running with 3k in Bitrate with 720p@60fps. I know that Quick Sync would free up some CPU usage, but instead I don't get any further settings to increase the quality, besides increasing the Bitrate which on EU servers would result in people watching the stream experiencing stuttering and lag.

So yeah, what would be the best? My PC is in my signature.

Try it out and see for yourself?
YOU CAN DO THAT?!?! Sorry, I'm a retard and I'm VERY new to livestreaming, so ofcourse I haven't tried that.

Of course I've tried both settings and yes, x264 gives better quality, but is there something I can do to actually improve the Quick Sync quality?

I've been trying to stream CSGO for a while now, main problem is that i want the stream to be watchable and my gameplay same time smooth. x264 @ 60fps gives me some stuttery feeling, i dont know if its because im gaming on 144hz monitor. Second problem is twitch's bitrate if you are non partnered.. i cant go above 2800-3000 bitrate, i dont drop frames its just "twitchlag" for viewers.

I can't tell what is best for you but i would try 720p 45fps 3k bitrate and drop the x264 preset down to faster.

I have 4770k @ 4.2GHz & GTX 770

The Haswell Quicksync is supposed to be real nice quality, you should try it, since you have a 4770k.

... wait you did try them both? Your sarcasm is confusing me. Post a log file, maybe there's something else wrong. Make sure it shows at least five minutes of high action video.

For anyone where x264 is stuttering, chances are your preset is too far on the slow side, causing duplicated frames. You want the duplicated frames to be under 1% even under high-stress conditions with CFR on. When you can accomplish that, you should see the stuttering go away, barring some other problem.

Without a log file we cannot give you any real info why your x264 might have been stuttering.
For quicksync there is not much to tweak. You can change keyint, bframes and the profile.
