This is related to some other posts, including one from me that have been unanswered.
I tend to be replying to my own posts...
Apparently it is difficult for software to keep track of which USB camera is which.
I have not developed code for USB video stream, so I don't know what might be
possible. Seems to me there should be some kind of hardware ID accessible if
the developers dig deep enough, down in the USB level, not the camera level.
Just a guess.
