Worth upgrading PC?

Hello,

Unfortunately, I'm not able to stream or record with my current equipment. I plan to upgrade my CPU from i7 8700k to a RYZEN9 3900x.
The GTX 1080 and 16 GB RAM are already in.

I have a 170 Hz monitor and play at 1440p. I really tried every variation: 1440p (recording), 1080p & 720p (recording / streaming). The results were never satisfactory.
I also think that I have really tried every setting.
 
NO check your settings a i7 8700k shoud be ok for recording and streaming as long as u dont make the settings to high
And if u have a 1080 make sure u are using hardware encoding
 
Yes, it's on NVENC.
By the way, I would like to stream / record Rainbow Six Siege. Is it possible that it has something to do with the game? Unfortunately, since I do not have other FPS, I can not compare a game with a similar speed.
 
Hmmm make sure you dont have some crazy high settings in game or in obs and if u find nothing make sure u dont have a virus mining anything in the baground good luck
 
Unless you explain your issue better, it's not possible to help with your issue. "not satisfactory" as you describe can be literally anything. Your current PC is more than able to successfully work with recording or streaming, there are people that stream successfully with hardware half as powerful as yours.
