Question / Help World of Warcraft Blurry

When trying to stream World of Warcraft, the quality looks fine when I don't move, but was I move the screen, the quality becomes all blurry and pixelated temporarily. Not sure what needs to be changed to fix this, but I would really love to stream WoW.

Most likely due to bitrate.
Are you getting any dropped frames? Would need a log
This happens to me as well if I try and stream a higher quality than what my hardware can support.

OBS says that I'm not dropping any frames. I have about 2500 kbps upload and am using 1500 max bitrate and 1500 buffer size.

Please post a logfile. There's a guide on how to do this as a sticky at the top of this forum. It'll tell us a lot of what we need to know about your setup to give recommendations.

That said, MMOs use a LOT of full-screen motion, making them extremely bitrate-dependant compared to the resolution and framerate chosen to get good results.

Also please run a 6MB test at http://testmy.net/upload so we know what kind of bandwidth you actually have.

First thing that jumps out at me... NEVER use Monitor Capture under Windows 7. It's ridiculously, horribly, terribly slow and can cause in-game lag it's so BAD. Turn Aero on and either use a Window or a Game capture instead.

900p at 1800kbps isn't going to really provide a good experience, ESPECIALLY with a high-motion game like an MMO. Consider dropping to 720p at most, with 1800-2000kbps.

What kind of CPU load are you getting while you stream currently? With that CPU, you may be able to drop to the 'Faster' or even the 'Fast' preset, to improve image quality, so long as you don't start getting late/lagged frames.
Also, if you're on Win7-64bit, consider switching to 64-bit OBS; it will provide a performance boost on the encoding step. It's included with the base package, and either is installed to Program Files (as opposed to PF x86), or a subdirectory from the main OBS install, 64-bit.

The upload test said that I had 2.4 mb upload.
And i typically don't have any drop in frames in-game, but I lag sometimes if I set the bitrate over around 2000.

Pretty simple, your chosen bitrate isn't enough for your selected resolution/FPS settings, especially for a game like WoW where the entire scene is in motion on a regular basis. You'll need to either up the bitrate or downscale more. I'd downscale another step and set the FPS to a more standard 30fps.

You'll probably want 2000 bitrate at the very minimum for 720p30fps. I recommend about 2500 if you can manage it.

So would you recommend still trying to stream WoW even though it wouldn't be in 720p? Or would you say just stick with the League of Legends that looks fine?
