Wireless headphones disconnect when launching OBS

Bluetooth audio devices have this behavior because activating the mic on the headset switches which internal audio device in the headset is used.

It would be nice if the device just swtiched to a different mode, but it completely drops the bluetooth connection and can not reconnect while OBS is running.
I am able to use both devices that the headset provies (with or without the mic) with other apps on Windows, and everything works perfectly on iPhone.

It seems that I managed to workaround the issue by going to Sound > Manage Sound Devices > Disable the handsfree device of the headset for both input and output. This way OBS is only getting hold of the output device, and the headphones can work with that.

After some time, the headphones keep disconnecting even after disabling the handsfree input devices.
Any ideas would be helpful.
