Windows server 2022 and OBS

Hello i want to use obs studio at our windows 2022 server standard . We are having a virtual audio cable as a sound card , but can´t see it in the settings , what do we have to choose to get it working

OBS Studio isn't designed to run on a server you connect with rdp. It's designed to run as a local app.

You'll also need to enable and start (or autostart) the windows audio service(s) if you have not already figured that out.
 
Google that one.. "enable windows audio on server 2022"

Reach back if you can't figure it out.
thx but sadly it still doesn't work in OBS, no audio visible.

but still exciting to know why microsoft forces me to enable the service "windows audio"

Hmmm I thought that would work.
I thought you were using VAC (virtual audio cable) does it present as S/PDIF?
That looks a little strange to me.
Also it may need to be reconfigured now that the audio service is running.
You also might need Windows Audio endpoint builder service up & running.
Sorry I do not have a server right now to test this myself on.
VAC may need re-setup with the audio service(s) up & running.

Already solved guys we are using now a simple desktop pc windows 11 pro on it that works thanks for your tips
