Hi,

as im going to use windows 8 in the near future i obviously would like to keep streaming so i wanted to ask how much better monitor capture is compared to win7 window capture/monitor capture. I would really like to stream my whole monitor to show the viewers the chat and other stuff.

My system:
i5 2500k
geforce gtx 660ti
8gb ram

So yea, will it run fine ?

As Aero cannot be disabled in Windows 8, Monitor Capture most likely will perform horribly bad in Windows 8. However, someone would have to confirm its performance. Regardless, what game are you streaming? Because there are better alternatives to Monitor Capture.

I think it was Jim who said obs is using a different way to capture the entire screen in win8 than in win7. So i thought it would be running smoothly and better.

Maybe someone got some "first-hand-information"

Monitor Capture actually performs exceptionally well in Windows 8, 60fps desktop capture is possible because of some of the updated DX11 features included in the new OS.

Hmmmppffff... well, that won't change a thing for me, Win 8 is a vile, evil product and I will never install it. Never, you hear me, Microsoft? But, well... good to know. ;)
