Per the Download page, the Windows release of OBS Studio supports Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 so using OBS on Windows 7 is 100% not supported. If you have any issues what so ever, the first step is going to be to update to a supported operating system which you can do for free per

With that being said, if the installer does not work on Windows 7, try using the zip download.
