I have a PC (not laptop) with Windows 11 installed. Device Manager does not show Camera. I would like to use OBS Virtual Cam... How do I get it install into Device Manager? Thanks for help.

The virtual obs camera never shows up in Windows device manager. It links into Windows without device driver. Most apps will recognize the virtual cam, however there are some apps that insist on a physical camera don't, such as the Windows camera app. Make sure you installed OBS with the installer, not from a zip file in portable mode.

Thanks, so I assume that OBS changed this? Because I know that it *used to show in Settings*, because I distinctly remember seeing. But thanks for the info. My video conferencing apps do recognize the OBS Virtual Camera...but yeah, the Windows 11 Camera app doesn't. Something changed - because the Windows 11 Camera app used to recognize it.

The Windows camera app never showed the OBS virtual camera. Neither Windows 10 nor 11. It was always as it is today.
