Windows 10 Pro 64 for Workstation

Greetings!

I am looking for a new PC to run OBS on. If I customize my workstation build through Lenovo the delivery expectation is almost 5 months. However, they also have a higher-end package build with a Zeon processor and running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit for Workstations, rather than Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. The system has significantly upgraded video capacity which I want. I wouldn't otherwise go up to the Zeon processor, I but I like the next day shipping rather than 4 1/2 months for my custom spec.

Will OBS work on Windows 10 Pro 64 for Workstations as well as it does on Windows 10 Pro 64?

Take care and stay safe,

Hopefully someone on developer team or the more knowledgeable folks will respond

while waiting for such a response .... in general, Pro for Workstation was a way for M$ to charge more for higher core counts. To justify that, there are some slight extra features for the workstation version, but the core OS code is the same, so I'd be surprised if OBS didn't work exactly the same (but again, I don't know that for sure).
Assuming power consumption isn't a driving factor, and ok with the firmware and OS mitigations required for earlier Intel CPUs (including Xeons), then I'd expect a Xeon workstation to perform the same as an equivalently spec'ed business class 12th gen Intel CPU based system. Things like ECC RAM probably aren't all that important to you.

Thanks Lawrence! I'll keep a weather eye open for a post by a developer, but I suspect you are right and suspect your assessment of Microsoft's rationale for creating yet another version ($) is correct as well.
