Question / Help Windows 10 Issues with OBS Studio (comparing logs on W8.1 and W10)

So I managed to reinstall Windows 8.1 (which was the original OS on my computer so I didn't have to do anything else after the reinstall such as activating Windows) and I rest my case about OBS Studio on Windows 10. I've posted a new log file with a stress test of The Witcher 3 and reviewing the log showing only 0.7% lagged frames even at 98-99% GPU usage. Compared to a much older log file playing another GPU-intensive game Depth which I had which was running in Windows 10 that generated nearly 12% of lagged frames, again when stress-testing the GPU on pretty much the same settings in OBS. The performance issues on Windows 10 is still present today as confirmed by other Windows 10 users, and I'm pointing fingers to either Nvidia with their drivers or Microsoft with their Windows 10 updates. I wish I could submit new logs for Windows 10 but it's too late now that I reinstalled 8.1.

Log file with The Witcher 3 running in Game Capture with the Overwolf FPS overlay on Windows 8.1:

Video playing The Witcher 3 on Windows 8.1 with uncapped fps and Vsync disabled:

Older log file with Depth running on the same settings (again it's as GPU-intensive):

Older video playing Depth on Windows 10 with the same settings (this was never resolved as of today):

EDIT: New Log file with The Witcher 3 with the exact same settings on OBS Studio and in-game

Hi
Do you think that it is better to install Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 should be deleted?

Only install Windows 8.1 if that was the original OS on your computer. I reinstalled 8.1 via Media Creation Tool on the official Windows page and didn't have to enter a CD key or activate windows because it knew what was on it before.

Bumped and posted a new log file on the OP showing the exact settings in OBS Studio and didn't touch the settings in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Lagged frames are happening much more in Windows 10 than in 8.1. I don't know if it's an Nvidia problem and/or is it even happening on AMD Radeon users because I'm planning to upgrade to a Radeon RX 480 soon.

You should get the logs manually from %APPDATA%\logs, the ones in your post don't contain any profiling data

I'm bumping this thread as of now, September 2017, to ask if there's any news on this topic.

I've been using Windows 8.1 for one year after finding out this Win 10 bug. But I'd really like to go back.

It seems like few users actually have this problem. There's something nasty going on in my specific setup and I'd like to find out.
