Hey chaps,
So basically, my problem is this: https://youtu.be/1ix8ULAGHJ4 (had to be filmed on phone or you wouldn't see it)
As soon as I launch a game my OBS preview will become a 1fps slide show. It happens on both OBS and OBS Multiplatform.
The actual stream or recording is perfectly fine so it is most likely to do with Nvidia drivers/windows 10. I'm mainly here to see if anyone has any ideas as to how to fix this.
One thing to note however, when a game is running and the OBS preview is open and running at 1fps, it will also cause other video sources such as a twitch stream or youtube video to also run at 1fps on the second monitor.
I can sometimes fix it by alt tabbing over and over until it eventually sorts itself out but as soon as I switch between scenes the 1fps slide show will return. I'm also aware you can run in full screen windowed (borderless) and it will be fine, but it gives my game performance a rather large hit so I would prefer not to do that.
I've also tried changing power settings and CPU priorities with no success.
Anyway, the purpose of the thread is to double check to make sure it isn't an OBS issue and also to see if anyone would have any idea on a proper solution that doesn't involve windowed borderless.
Logs won't be helpful here as technically everything works.
