I have tried to install OBS by using the .655 beta and .12 multiplatform application but after opening the .exe both state that "Your system is missing DirectX component that OBS Multiplatform requires. Would you like to download them? [Yes/No]". Clicking yes takes me to "www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35" which redirects to downloading Windows 10 at the following address: "https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10". I already have Windows and 10 and I'm not really sure how to proceed. Windows 10 is up-to-date and any help would be appreciated. Below I have copy pasted a section out of my dxdiag.

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10240) (10240.th1.150819-1946)

System Model: Surface Pro 3
BIOS: 3.11.0950

Made an account just to help you :)

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

this is all of the direct x runtimes previous to June 2010 (9/10/11 and more)

click download
uncheck the Microsoft crap
no thanks, continue
run it and extract it to a folder
run the executable DXSETUP.exe (I had to do it manually)
let it go
install your OBS of choice
done :3

this should work with windows 7/8/8.1 too

You are awesome, Xaithus!!! Thanks. I had things working fine, but then had to reinstall Windows 7, and then Windows 10. Had this same issue with OBS, but now it's solved. Thanks!!

I also had to make an account, just to post some thanks to you!
