Question / Help Windows 10 and OBS audio and game capture problems

Hi, my name is Julian. I'm new to this forum, I have used OBS for a few years now, and it's great software.

I upload daily videos to YouTube using OBS

The problem that I have encountered is with audio not being recorded from the desktop/from games
and game capture just displaying a black screen! I've never had this problem before windows 10.

I've just installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 from USB which is now working wonders, though I had trouble getting the audio drivers to install properly, (contacting microsoft, realtek and ASUS didn't help) in the end I just installed the audio driver from my disk in compatibility mode for windows 7, now the audio is working properly, but like I say it's just not being recorded in OBS, it does detect and show that audio is playing in OBS though, it just doesn't record.

I do have a bit of knowledge on OBS as I've been using it for a few years. I know how to set the audio and so on up.

Thanks, I'd really appreciate some help on this issue that has arisen.

Media player Classic, windows media player, and I've tried importing it into Adobe premiere CC to edit the video file! but the audio on channel 1 which I have set as desktop audio is mute. though I think I may have found a solution, just downloading K-lite mega codec pack, and I'll let you know how that goes!

There are some audio issues with 0.13.1-rc1, downgrade to 0.12.3 to check if it'll work with that version.

Okay, Thanks for the response! where can I find 0.12.3? haha

Edit: I found a copy of it in my clustered download folder haha. Thanks anyway, I'll give it a shot and report back if that works!
