Window Capture on Chrome 50 shows a black source

OBS Studio 0.13.4 (+ Browser Source)
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Chrome Version 50.0.2661.75 m

A couple days ago, I was streaming with OBS Studio 0.13.4 (with Browser Source) using a scene that had multiple window capture sources mapped to Chrome windows. Everything worked fine, no problems there. As I was shutting down for the night, Chrome updated itself to Version 50.0.2661.75 m.

Today, I opened up my scene collection in OBS Studio and the Chrome window capture sources were black. Oddly enough, the mouse cursor still shows up in the source render. I thought it might just be that the named windows didn't exist, so I deleted the capture sources, opened the windows, and remade the capture sources for the Chrome windows. No luck - the sources still showed up as black. I tried making window capture sources for other applications, Firefox, Explorer, etc., and those worked fine. I tried switching to a simpler scene (Default Scene, with the only sources as one Display Capture and one Window Capture), but Window Capture still didn't pick up any Chrome window I tried to attach to it. I reran the OBS Studio installer, but the problem persisted.

The main thing that stands out to me is that Chrome updated recently and Chrome stopped working with Window Capture. Another possible factor is that a Windows Update (KB3147458) was also recently installed. I've uploaded to Pastebin a log file for the last successful session (2016-04-13 18-33-20.txt) and I've done likewise for a log file for an session that exhibits the behavior described above (2016-04-15 18-41-37.txt). I tried to upload them using the forums, but it never seemed to finish the upload.

Edit: It seems that the files uploaded correctly in the background, but the forum UI didn't indicate that completion until I published the new thread. Oh well, log files everywhere.

Edit 2: In my rush to get this posted on my way out the door, I didn't notice that I'd posted in the wrong sub-forum. I can't seem to delete this thread. Can a mod move the thread, or should I just post a new thread in the correct sub-forum?

Thanks to the mod who moved the thread!

It seems this has also been reported in at least two other threads ("Black Screen trying to capture Internet Browser using Window Capture!" and "Black Screen when Capturing Chrome Window"). Judging by those threads, it seems the culprit is Chrome's "Hardware Acceleration" setting, possibly in tandem with whatever changes were made to Chrome between version 49 and 50. Was something changed in how Chrome handles its hardware acceleration that OBS Studio can accommodate?

For now, I've disabled Chrome's hardware acceleration, though I'd like to be able to re-enable it some day.
