Question / Help Window Capture (null)

My understanding is that on the current version of MacOS, this is not within OBS' power to rectify. Apple is deprecating the entire display technology on which the Mac version of OBS is based (OpenGL) and already the feature equivalent to game capture on Windows (syphon) no longer works, and I am unaware of any positive results in attempting to restore this functionality.

In addition, window capture is the least performant capture method available. The usual workaround would be display capture, although for capturing output from a console, a capture card would be greatly preferable.

Be wary, however, as some capture devices advertise "compatible with OBS" as well as "compatible with MacOS" without pointing out that they are NOT actually possible to use with OBS while running it on OBS.

Vendors whose equipment is known to work and that I have personally used with OBS under MacOS are: Magewell, BlackMagic, AJA.
