Question / Help Window capture no longer recording properly

Hey guys. I've been using OBS with no problems for a while, but suddenly today (after recording fine for most of the day), window capture is doing a strange thing where the OBS window has to be on top of the window that's being captured in order to work. I looked this up and gather it has something to do with Aero, but since I haven't changed anything on my laptop since the last time I used OBS (when it was working fine), I don't know why that would have anything to do with it. I also don't know how to change or enable Aero, which is a bit problematic, haha.

To have this start happening for seemingly no reason is pretty bizarre and frustrating, so if you guys have any idea at all why I'm getting this problem, I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks dudes.

Strange. Have you tried rebooting? Update your graphics card drivers? What version of Windows?

I did a reboot after the problem first started - I haven't tried updating my drivers. I'm running Windows 8.1.
