Will there ever be a day when QSV is available for custom output in OBS?

I am currently using OBS with an Intel Arc A380 on Ubuntu, but Quick Sync Video is not available as an encoder for custom output, only for the streaming settings encoder.

I've heard that I need to build OBS myself to use it.

I don't have the knowledge and skills to build it. Does the official side plan to support QSV for custom output?

I don't have QSV either, but I do have VAAPI, which is on the Intel i7-4940MX CPU and works. I assumed that that's a different name for the same thing, but I don't really care either as long as it encodes video in hardware *somewhere*.
