Hello all,

I'm a noob when it comes to streaming myself but I have been involved in other streams. I have a laptop I use and just want to know if its good to stream. It does say high encoding sometimes. I'm just trying to stream arcade emulators/Fightcade and maybe consoles later. here's the specs

I think the graphics card is AMD M880G with ATI mobility Radeon.

I don't have the money to upgrade anytime soon (grad student) but if I could use this laptop then that'll be cool. Thanks for the help

If I could hijack Jox_in_a_box's thread, could you also let me know if my laptop would work? I really appreciate the help and sorry if I should have created my own thread for this!

EDIT: I should also mention that I'm not planning to stream emulators. I am going to stream my 3ds via a modded usb connection.

It will work given that CPU (assuming your GPU supports hardware DX10).

But "gaming laptops" are the tallest midget. They suck at both halves of the description.

Yea, us n00bs have to learn that the hard way, which I have now. Here is my GPU info below if you don't mind taking a look. Thanks for your help!

Yep, it supports at least hardware DX10 (DX12 API according to the nVidia spec sheet), so it should work fine with OBS.
