Why is OBS destroying the audio when remuxing.

I was informed here I should be recording in MKV format and then remuxing to MP4, but when I do this OBS sometimes will completely garble the audio in the remuxed file.

So audio starts repeating it self halfway through the MP4 file for instance.

Why is this happening.
