why can't I see my input now?

I've even bought a new HDMI to USB converter (Video Capture Device). Tried another HDMI cable. Even went back to Mac OS 12.6 (an currently using 13.2). Even updated to OBS 29.0.2. I've tried everything I can think of, but, I still can't either get the video or the sound. WHY? Especially when the last time (possible a year ago) I could just plug in the Converter and it would work. Audio Mixer just says Mic/Aux. Any help would be much appreciated.

None. I connect my set top box (PVR) to it. It used to work OK until now. Until I changed the Mac OS software and then when I tried using a previous version, it still didn't work. I've tried everything I know. Changed settings, etc and it still doesn't work.
