Alright, so i was wondering why must like streaming programs and such get a black screen when trying to stream fullscreen games or other things? what is hindering it from just streaming it without having to use another program like DxTory or game capture in OBS (which is so buggy for me/i cant figure it out) to get the games streamed? why is it not just posible to what ever is up on the screen you decide to stream is sent to OBS and then to your stream?

Thank you,
EmilosG

DirectX builds the scene directly on your graphics card, so there is no way for other programs to capture the output other than using GPU level hooks like DXTory / Game Capture.

I have a question then, why is Dxtory able to do so? and Xsplit game capture? do they use like a certain code that Jim dont know? (Im just curious)

Like R1CH was saying, those things use GPU level hooks to capture it. Jim is working on a similar feature and has been for the last couple weeks. He's just working on getting it stable now.
