Even the 720/60 has a bit of choppyness that is not at all apparent while playing the game, if you watch the second half of the 720 clip when im flying by trees they kind of stutter as you pass them, while im playing this does not happen at all. Any idea why?

I use game capture and aero enabled btw.

The way frames are processed by the encoder, while having approximately the same per-second pixel count, 720@60 is able to use the bitrate more efficiently than 1080@30 as many can be encoded as simple motion vectors. Likewise, 1080@30 is going to require more work on the CPU's part, so you may be skipping/duping more frames depending on your hardware and preset.

Hey i think i watched you when you were playing ffxiv lol. Ya im not sure whats up with my stream tbh, guess ill just stick to 720/60 although i would prefer a 1080 stream. I have tried switching the preset to fast and it is too much of a hit on my CPU (2500k). What concerns me more is the stuttering that appears on my streams, even tho my game is playing buttery smooth. I wonder if vsync has something to do with this, i have it enabled in game.

Post a logfile and we can take a look. 60fps really, really isn't needed. Sounds like there's another problem.
Likewise, unless you're a Partnered caster, you aren't really going to be able to use the bitrate to run a 1080p (or even a 720@60) stream without making a lot of your viewers buffer constantly.

Heh, glad to hear it. Been a while since I was playing FFXIV; ended up weaning off and cancelling as it was eating too much of my time, as MMOs are prone to do.

It looks pretty good to me? There's only so much you can do when streaming with limited bandwidth .. Now if Twitch increased the bandwidth to around 10000kbps, things would look a lot prettier for sure, however they didn't and you have to work with what you got. Streaming is far from perfect currently.

In other news, Youtube supports 6000kbps for 1080p live streaming.
