Question / Help White borders Help!!

Hi i downloaded OBS a couple of days ago, and i notice something wrong with my stream. there were black borders on the left and right side of the screen. The reason why they are there is because my OBS doesn't seem to be either working properly or i'm doing something wrong here's a screenshot please help! i also notice my picture doesn't cover the full screen of the program and instead i get does white borders https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/969800_632131933471421_2015824206_n.jpg

have you tried actually streaming? Because that is how it's supposed to look. What I mean is; its preview window does not fill its entire width. Try actually streaming and basing your conclusions on that instead. ;)

i have tried streaming i have been at it for days, since it wont fill the screen when i stream the left and right sides of the stream show black borders, and since i cant stretch it to the sides to fill the screen i cant manage to stream my whole screen

You get black borders since you aren't streaming at a 16:9 resolution. This is completely normal, since the Twitch player is sized to fit 16:9 videos.
