I'm currently creating a new scene collection and originally had 270 text from file sources which caused major stuttering when a video was playing.
I worked out that the 1000ms capture of the text was causing the videos to stutter
I've reduced this down by changing the whole setup to 30 text from file sources. There is still a very slight shudder on the videos that I can notice but I don't think other people will (btw there is no text from file sources on the video scene) so I'm thinking of how I can reduce the number further.
I was wondering which way was better of if it would make a difference.
Option 1
Like I have it with 10 separate text to file sources each with there own text source
Option 2
Have each line in the text file with the information that I need and then have 1 text to file source which then uses 10 reference text sources in OBS which have been trimmed to only show the line that I want.
Logically I'm thinking option 2 would be best as OBS only has to poll 1 text file rather than 10 but wanted people's thoughts.
If Option 2 is possible then I can reduce the number of text from files for the whole collection to around 12 instead of 30 which should eliminate the very slight judder on the videos.
