Question / Help Which cpu to stream at 720p and 60fps ?

Hello,
I'm currently looking to build a new PC to play and stream at the same time. Mostly overwatch. I would like to stream at 720p, 60fps and medium cpu preset. What cpu do i need to achieve that ?

Is a i7 6700k enough ? or maybe a i7 6850k ?
 
6700k standard clock should be fine and able to run this for streaming though only has 4 cores, if you OC this then would be a good option and save some cash. The 6850k will no issue doing what you want as it has 6 cores but at a price.
 
720p60 on Medium is quite a Task and its possible that the 6700k might have Problems with certain Games I would say a 5820k or 6800k is better suited
 
There is next to no visual difference between the faster, fast, medium and slow presets for streaming, so you can simply stream with "faster" and use the i7-6700k.
 
In order to stream Overwatch or any game with high camera motion at 720p 60fps you need 4000+kbps bitrate.

As a non partner you aren't supposed to go higher then 3500kbps and, at this bitrate, 720p 45fps look better then 60fps.

If you dont have transcoding yet dont go higher then 2500kbps. And stay at 720p 30fps.

I dont think you will be able to reach "Medium" if you play and stream on the same PC while not restraining OBS CPU core usage.
