I'm streaming Xbox One

I currently have a desktop that has an i3 with an internal BlackMagic Intensity Pro.
I will be losing access to this desktop soon and am going to try to use my laptop that is a little outdated.

Shuttle Desktop-What I am currently streaming on and will lose access to.
i3
8gb ddr3
Radeon 1gb video card
HDD

Current stream
Stream 1280/720 @ 45 FPS
45down/5up

Asus n53s Laptop build- What I want to stream on.
i7 2k processor
16gb ddr3 12800
Geforce GT (520M or 540M)
SSD

My goal is to keep or exceed my current stream stats (resolution, fps) and not be losing frames or dropping. What is a USB 3.0 Capture card that will be in my price range, ($150-250) while keep up? I've seen a suggestion of the Xcapture-1 usb 3.0 but that is a little out of my price range ($350 with shipping). If nothing else is comparable to the Xcapture that is friendly with OBS, I might just have to bite the bullet and go with it. Like I said I don't stream PC games, just Xbox One.

Re: What direction should I go with a capture card?

The only other USB 3.0 devices I know of are avermedia U3 and some blackmagic device that I can't remember the name of off the top of my head. I know some USB 3.0 devices are a little bit more expensive, but it's worth the money to avoid USB 2.0 issues.

Re: What direction should I go with a capture card?

Jim I'm fine with using USB 3.0. I remember seeing the Xcapture-1 needs specific type of usb 3.0 (Intel or Renasas) If it will work Frensco Logic 3.0 that is the type of usb 3.0 driver I have. Anyone have an opinion on the Avermedia U3 vs Black Magic Shuttle 3.0 vs Xcapture-1? See any restrictions with my laptop build?

Yea, I'm not entirely sure unfortunately, I have heard that before. You might have to do a bit of research to see of the device works with the port.

Avermedia Extremecap U3 if you want 1080p60fps support and are on a budget.
Micomsoft XCAPTURE-1 if you want 1080p60 plus excellent support for retro systems.
Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle if you need passthrough/transcoding and are on a budget.

I believe Avermedia has a tool on their website that lets you check compatibility for your system, but I'm not positive.

All three of those devices require an Intel or Renesas USB 3.0 controller to work properly. AVerMedia has some sort of settings available that will let you use lower resolutions if the USB 3.0 controller isn't up to spec, but that's about it.
