Question / Help Where'd my audio GO?!

I just recorded some gaming for an hour or two, I do it a few times a week for youtube stuff, and everything looked perfect. It was perfect last friday, but today each vid I recorded had no audio! Not the game, not me on headset, nothing! I poured my heart into these and now there's nothing. Please someone tell me the audio is floating around somewhere!

The sound bar for my Xbox/headset, my go-to, showed my sound as fine. I guess not! Please help me, because I can't redo this because of autosaves. I don't use a script, so whatever I said was a one-time deal...

My video from Thursday is fine: you hear the game and me just fine, but today? Nada. I need that audio and I have no idea where to look and I'm afraid to shut down my laptop for fear of any potential rescue being destroyed upon a reboot.

To reiterate without being so depressed/terrified: I haven't touched any settings since previous recordings. I tried my laptop's camera for the first time in a while, but it was never used for audio before, so it's presence shouldn't matter... God I hope this wasn't my fault. Is there a folder somewhere where the audio files could have gone? I know it's extra work to put it back, but it's not THAT much.

I'm no moderator or anything I just use this as well. From my experience it could be that you haven't extracted the audio out yet you can check of there's audio by right clicking the video and clicking "properties" to see if there is any audio. If there is, upload the video into editing software or use an audio extracting app to see if it's there. That's all I got

Did a sound test today, same game, with and without cam on... sound worked great... so I have no effin clue what went wrong YESTERDAY!
