When streaming with obs my game lags slightly/ choppy sometimes even with low-quality settings. Can anyone help me understand why and how to fix this

I have been streaming games like apex, the cycle frontier, spider-man, etc. all with lowered visual settings to reduce rendering lag for my stream and I still sometimes get a laggy or choppy experience when I'm playing the game. I have lowered my obs fps to 30 and downgraded the output to 1260/720 as well as many other things I have seen to help my experience in the game and to make my stream look good while playing. I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue or possibly a network issue but I am stumped and cannot find a way to have great-quality gameplay while streaming. I can send my obs logs or anything that might help someone understand where the issue might be. please let me know I am eager to get this working and fixed.
