Remove your video capture source, and create a new source. Then set your settings to the desired resolution. The video configuration and getting the capture device was malfunctioning, so that might've been the culprit. Other solutions could be plugging your webcam into an another slot or reinstalling OBS to the latest version.I got a new C922 webcam I am streaming to Youtube with OBS I can not get Youtube get better quality than 360p how can I fix this so I can get 1080p quality from Youtube??

Is it 480p on YouTube or for the webcam configuration? If it is YouTube, they it doesn't relate to OBS' problems and issues.Nope that did not work. I have tried a few other webcam sites one site maxes at 480 I was able to get that one other site I got 720p at like 2500 bitrate. I think it just might be Youtube. My max real upload speed is 4.8mbps I should be able to 720p maybe 1080p at 4500 to 5000 bitrate.
Streaming or Recording? it seems your issue is on YouTube, not OBS. Try doing a local recording to see if the problem is consistent within the local recording. Also make sure in your OBS Studio video tab, that your output resolution is at the maximum resolution you want it to be.Youtube website shows only 360p max. Maybe it could be my internet connection my real max upload speed is 4.8mbs
