Question / Help Whats the bets downscale method?

Hi so ive always played in 1920x1080 and downscaled it to 720. then i heard if you just play in 1080 and put 720 as the start res and have no downscale it looks better and takes up less of ur pc resources. whats the better method for gettings crisper quality. is doing what i just said the best or would putting the start res at 1080 and downscaling to 720?

Playing at native resolution and downscaling will look better than using Fit to Screen. It's up to you which downscale method is best for you. Lanczos looks best, but is harder on your system.
