Question / Help Whats better, more cores or faster speed? [CPU]

I'm buying a new CPU for my computer and the main reason is to help my in game FPS while streaming.

The processor I have now just doesn't have the power I need and I get low FPS in game while streaming.

So my question though is what will benfit me more. More cores or faster processing speed?
So would a X4 processor with 3.8ghz benfit me more than a X6 processor with 3.4ghz or vice versa?

They're both important, but AMD CPUs are comparatively cheap as hell so if you're looking to upgrade just grab an 8320 or 8350 or something.
