I mostly stream FPS games and I am looking for good settings so most people can watch my stream as my friends keep telling me it's lagging and I believe it's the bit rate, I know quite a bit about streaming but I don't know enough to help me find the perfect settings, it's rare that I ever drop frames on stream but the 'Encoding High CPU Usage' occasionally pops up. I know it's not good and I just want to be able to find settings which are best for both me and the viewer.
Ideally I would like to have a good quality HD (720p) stream that the average joe can sit and watch without having to worry about it buffering, and also not have too much of an impact on my PC, would it be worth getting an i7? or is my processor more than fit enough for the job? I also have an Audio Technica AT2020 microphone which I would like to utilize to it's full potential for good audio quality. (I'd rather Video quality over Audio quality if it comes down to it though)
