Hey guy's, if i have the simple-mode (i have the german version, dont know its 1 to 1 translateable, "einfach" in german)
CBR, ABR, VBR, CRF?
It can't be CBR and i think its also not ABR (because puictures and slow videos are verry smaler than fast videos)
my test with a video of a single picture i have simple mode, x264, 1280x720, 3000bit:
30sec. = 1,3 MB
The same in "advanced mode" ("Erweitert" in german) i have with x264, 1280x720, 3000bit:
CRF - CRF 17 = 1,3 MB
Same configuration with fast videomaterial (in a car in gta5), simple mode, x264, 1280x720, 3000bit:
60sec. = 23,2 MB
The same in "advanced mode"
CRF-CRF17 = 63,6 MB
My question:
Ok so, the simple mode cant be the crf-crf 17, but what the heck are the simple mode?
(Falls es in Deutsch geht, nehme ich die Antwort auch gerne in meiner Muttersprache entgegen ;-))
The problem is, all videocut software have other option like obs. And it makes no sense, that i put a obs video with 500MB in the cutting software an get out a smaler video with 2GB or so because i dont know the standard simple mode codec options.
Thanks for youre answers
the complete test, all 30sec. video from a single picture, x264, 1280x720, 3000bit:
OBS – simple = 1,3 MB
OBS – advanced:
02 – CBR = 11,3 MB
03 – ABR = 6,1 MB
04 - VBR - CRF17 = 1,1 MB
04 - VBR CRF18 = 1,1 MB
04 - VBR-CRF23 = 0,9 MB
05 - CRF - CRF 17 = 1,3 MB
05 - CRF 18 = 1,2 MB
05 - CRF-CRF23 = 0,9 MB
60sec. video from GTA5 with middle to fast picturechange, x264, 1280x720, 3000bit:
01 OBS – simple = 23,2 MB
OBS – advanced:
05 CRF-CRF17 = 63,6 MB
05 CRF-CRF18 = 56,0 MB
05 CRF-CRF20 = 43,3 MB
