Question / Help what laptop should I buy.

Hi. Im very new to streaming. I have been using obs and love it. Unfortunately my old piece of poo Laptop doesnt run directx 10.
After looking through a few threads I see this can be a common problem. At the moment I use my dads laptop which does work. However it is also very old and very slow. I am streaming pool matches from a local bar, and the laptop I am looking to buy isnt just for running obs. But would be absolutely gutted if obs didnt work. Any help would be appreciated.

Pps. Im a proper newb so can you put It in laymans terms.

I don't know what your budget is, but I definitely recommend you get a new i7 in the computer you get, as well as an nVidia graphics card. Those are the most important things.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at an i5, as the budget may not stretch as far as an i7. I guess what im trying to ask, is more along the lines of ' what will stop me using obs' if that makes sence. Sorry again for my ignorance.

I am currently looking at a laptop now that has an intel hd graphics 4000, shared graphics card. Does anybody know if this will work with directx 10?

have a look on ebay. You can get some pretty decent laptops for good prices there. I've currently got my Samsung 700G7C on there for £700. not sure what your budget is tho.
