Question / Help What is the red square in the upper left-hand corner of the center screen?

When I try to add a video source a little red square appears but no image and my video camera does not appear in the device area. HP Elitebook 8460w laptop,Windows 10 Pro x64,OBS.25.0.4 version,Intel Core i7,2.20 ghz,8gig ram.Thanks.
