Question / Help What is "send buffer size"?

If you hover over some of the stuff in the settings, it'll show you a tool tip with some pretty good information as to what each of the settings do.

Quote from OBS "The send buffer causes all network data to be buffered up to a specific packet size before sending. Using this greatly increases network throughput, but will make the stream a bit more delayed."

wow why didn't I think of doing that.

It also makes sense why higher values would increase my ping, as it sends more at one time.

Yeah, I can see it being great for single player games, where the latency doesn't matter, but being pretty terrible for some multiplayer games. It really depends though. It might be something you have to try and see what setting works best for what game.
