what happened to my audio??

Hey all; I've been running OBS for a while now to handle my online piano lessons.

On Sunday, I had my classes with no issues. Today I opened things up and everything seemed fine but none of my microphones (not the nice microphone I use plugged into my audio interface, nor the built in microphone on my laptop, nor even the microphone in my external webcam) will show any audio input information (no activity in the VU meter in OBS).

I've done all the usual stuff; restarted the computer, checked for obvious issues. If I use my DAW or even a simple program like Audacity or Zoom I'm able to use the microphone with no issues.

I hadn't updated to the latest version yet, but I have since done so.

Out of desperation and to simplify the process as much as possible, I've uninstalled OBS including my user settings and reinstalled with no luck. But I have this log file now which is from a session where I hit record and just let it run for 30 seconds. The only elements are my webcam visuals and an audio input (which is supposed to be from my audio interface)...I don't see anything out of the ordinary in this file but maybe someone else has an idea?

Please help, I've had to cancel my classes today so now I'm losing income lol

Well, I left OBS sitting for thirty minutes and now it's working again? Sorry y'all; if anyone has a chance to look at the log and see if they see anything odd please let me know, hate not knowing what caused this!

While somewhat different than the behavior I saw (for me audio meters disappeared as well), it seems there's some wonkiness with audio in the current version.... the audio subsystem seems to just up and quit.

Interesting; thanks for posting, glad to know I'm not alone...I had a ton of classes today with no issues so..hopefully whatever it was is temporary. :\
