Question / Help What Capture Card will work for me?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forums, but I'm having trouble finding something that will work for what I need.

I need a capture card that takes in component and hdmi and works with game/direct capture on obs (aka I don't have to screen cap a region of my desktop just for the game). I have the money for most likely anything around 200 ish, but ideas are welcome. I'm using component off of my wii, but its in 480i instead of 480p because I'm using a CRT. I need HDMI for my Wii U, which goes at 1080p. I'm a competitive melee/projectm player if that means anything, so I stream smash.

tl;dr direct capture with obs, supports 480i and 1080p. component AND hdmi, (Would be a bonus if it took in s video and composite inputs but they're not super necessary)

The XCAPTURE-1 would probably be ideal if you're willing to spend the money for it and have an Intel or Renesas USB 3.0 controller in your system.

For the XCAPTURE-1, you need to get D-Terminal to component adapters, and then it will work fine. Composite breakout adapters are included in the device, but not pictured.

The Black Magic Intensity Pro is not a device I would normally recommend, but it has one nice feature that makes it good for Smash Bros use: You can output via Component from the Wii, capture with the BMIS, and passthrough from the BMIS with composite with virtually no lag. That lets you use the CRT like normal, but capture at higher quality. However, it still requires an Intel or Renesas USB 3.0 controller.

You can get an analog capture addon to Elgato devices in the Elgato store, so that's an option.

Are you looking specifically for external capture devices, or could you get an internal device? The AVerMedia c027 is pretty nice, though it can only capture 1080i, not 1080p.

I'm looking for external devices most likely. I actually had a big interest for the black magic intensity pro, I was almost going to buy it until I ran into a problem with my usb 3.0 controller. It's amd and I'm pretty sure its not compatible :/
