Hi, im new to the whole streaming thing and i was looking for some insight into what quality i would be looking at if i began streaming on twitch.

Mainly plan on streaming games such as LoL but i also wanted to do some nether aswell.

I've ran multiple speed checks and i get around 6mb/s upload speed and my ping is around 8-80,

Specs:
CPU: i5 3570k
GPU: GTX 670
RAM: 8gb
Storage: 128gb SSD
500gb Hard drive
2tb hard drive.

Thanks for any help.

speedtest.net or testmy.net will suffice. You will need to get your upload in terms of Kbps, so just multiple the result in Mbps by 1000. (e.g. you said you have 6Mbps of upload, which is 6000kbps).

So, this time i get 5.91 upload, so multiplied by 1000 is 5910kb/s and when entered into the obs estimator it says recommended bitrate 3500, so is that it?

And any recommendations on what resolution to use, between 720 and 1080, is it worth the difference?

720p is easier for people to watch, and is more tolerant of a lower bit rate. Try 720p at 2500kbps.
