So I've gotten myself into doing youtube videos. And I recently got a webcam to capture my reactions. Now I don't use OBS to record gameplay, I use action! for that (didn't know about OBS until after, was gutted) However I am am or was planning to use obs to capture my webcam footage. I use audacity to capture my audio. So the past week I've been messing around doing tests to make sure they work. Having them all linked to the same record key, one is usually out of sync (obs mostly) and needs to be resynced in editing. And this worked for all of my tests as well as the first video I uploaded to youtube using that setup.
Then yesterday a problem started. While editing, in the webcam (obs) footage it would over the course of the video became out of sync. Fast forward to today and the problem remains however I come to realize that the webcam footage isn't actually lagging, it's actually playing too early by the end of the video (around 30 minute vids by the way).
So basically the problem is I'll sync up the audio file, the game footage and the webcam. However by the end of the video the webcam (obs)footage will be out of sync playing too early against the audio and game footage. Just wondering if this is a known issue or something. I'm kind of aware my setup is weird (using 3 programs and a game at once) however I am aware of other youtubers using this method.
