So i just got a new PC today that I believe, on paper, should be fine to stream. i5 4th gen, 570 4gb, 8gb of ram (i have 8 more in the mail), obs running off ssd.
So when I play PC games, things are fine. Hearthstone works great. I know it's not the most taxing thing in the world. I tried out satisfactory, and that was choppy, but I completely expected choppy for that and am fine with it being choppy because that made sense.
What doesnt make sense is when I use my avermedia usb capture card, the preview and stream start off perfect, 60 fps. But after about 10 seconds it gets choppy. And after about 30 seconds it's basically frozen or a very slow slide show.
The stats dock does not show frames being skipped due to encoder lag or decoder lag. Says its 60 fps, even though it's a slide show.
Shouldnt something off a capture card be easier for OBS to deal with than even Hearthstone?
Here's my log. https://obsproject.com/logs/1cKvS6Riqlyq4uje
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much.
