Bug Report Weird game capture issue [BF3]

When trying to capture BF3 using game capture, the first time I open the game (with OBS having already been opened), OBS will not capture BF3. If I close BF3 and reopen it (without having touched anything in OBS), it will capture the game just fine.

Overview
1) Open OBS
2) Open BF3
*see that OBS game capture isn't capturing BF3
3) Close BF3
4) Reopen BF3
*OBS game capture now capturing BF3

Does anyone know what I could do to have OBS capture BF3 on the first time I start it up?

What if OBS isn't running at all when BF3 starts, and then you run OBS?

Can you try the new test version and post your OBS log and capture hook log in that thread? viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3658

I'll try doing what you suggested with my current version of OBS (v0.51b) and report back. If it doesn't solve the problem, I'll try the new test version.

Edit:Game first and then OBS seems to have solved my issue. However, I can faintly remember trying this before but it not fixing it. If it happens again, I'll let you know.

Problem still occurs.

Overview
1) Boot up into Windows 7
2) Open up browser and go to Battlelog
3) Start game
4) Open OBS
5) OBS game capture not capturing game.

Will try test version now.

Try using hotkey to choose the capture source (while in game just press the hotkey). Works for me.

The hotkey fix seems to solve my problem. Thanks!
