I have been through a lot tonight, but I thought I should bring this to attention.
I was going to stream Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, I turn on the game, start up OBS, and it crashes when it tries to load the capture from elgato.
I look at it in the elgato software itself, it starts up 720p no problem.
So I reinstall both elgato and OBS, 1080p PS3 dashboard works fine in OBS, so I keep OBS open, and proceed to the game menu while OBS is still open, it transitions to 720p just fine, which is weird.
So to sum it up, starting up OBS on a 720p source crashes it, while having OBS open while transitioning from 1080p to 720p does NOT crash it.
It seems kind of strange, right?
EDIT (PROBLEM CHANGED)
Also, I cannot use the elgato software unless I change the video source of the game back to the 1080p resolution, and it usually takes a while for it to start working again.
So what I am started to think, is that OBS Studio AND OBS Classic cannot handle 720p startup for whatever reason.
Included is one of the many crash reports that I have.
Please take a look whenever possible.
I hope to know if this is a problem that can be easily fixed.
