Question / Help Webcam will not work

Hello, I'm having issues getting my webcam to work on OBS. I can select it when I add a video capture device but then nothing shows up, just a blank red box when I edit scene. I've already confirmed the webcam isn't in use by any other programs. Pretty stumped at this point, any help would be appreciated.

Heres my Log.

A quick update on my situation. I've now tried out xsplit and have the same problem. I even tried some website that tests your webcam and that didn't work either. So obviously the problem is somewhere on my end. The odd thing is that it works with skype without hesitation, but I can't seem to get it to work with ANYTHING else. I had originally assumed the problem was with OBS because I knew it was working fine with skype...... Although its pretty clear the problem is not with OBS, any suggestions would still be very much appreciated.

Suggestion, make sure Skype does not start with Windows, then reboot your PC. Afterwards test your webcam in OBS again before doing anything else on your PC.

Skype might take focus of the Webcam so it cant be used in any other program. If that does not help, see if you can update your webcam drivers, connect it to a different USB port, test it on a different PC.

I tried all that, even tried uninstalling skype, still same results. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the camera itself, and windows claims the drivers are all up to date. Side note: this is a built-in laptop camera.

Ok, that will be hard to test on a different PC then. Hmm, I am a bit out of ideas, if you still have warranty you could talk to your shop where you bought it maybe?!
