Question / Help Webcam Setup

Newbie question. How can I set up the internal webcam on my laptop to stream during a broadcast? My webcam itself is already setup and functional b/c I use it all the time with Skype. I don't see an option to select to add it as a source when trying to stream. I see that there is a DirectShow plugin that is supposed to enable webcam for streaming but not sure how to configure that b/c the configure button is greyed out when I select it.

If it has proper DirectShow drivers it will be available as an option when adding a video capture device source. If it isn't listed, make sure you're running the 32-bit version of OBS as some devices don't provide 64-bit DirectShow drivers. You could also try installing/reinstalling the latest drivers from the laptop manufacturer.

It's working now. I had tried adding a video capture device before but the web cam didn't show up. I just closed it down and reopened it (verified it was the 32 bit like u said and it already was) and it worked this time. Go figure. Thanks for the info!
