Question / Help Webcam Problem C920

hey guys :) it's my first time posting on this forum so please be gentle :)

I've been using OBS for about 6 months now and I was pretty happy till yesterday evening.
I was streaming some games when suddenly the game and also my PC just decided to die on me.
After a forced reboot everything was working fine again... except my logitech c920.
It's working completely fine in every other program except OBS. The blue light on the cam will turn on for just a second and then it will turn off again. In the software itself it will just show the space where i put my facecam as blank and showing the properties will just give me a red tinted "device". Changing the resolution won't change anything as well.
I've tried everything my common tech brain thought of. From reinstalling the drivers and OBS to using every other USB port on my PC.

I really hope someone on here has a solution to my problem...

I'm no expert but try to check the properties on the cam, see if the resolution has changed or something. Might be out of range.

I've already tried to change it as stated in my initial post. For now it won't even let me change it because the drop down menu won't activate. I tried typing in the resolutions manually without success.

Try disabling the Logitech Webcam software or set it to not run automatically...
Disable it in Task Manager then re-start OBS.
You can also uninstall LWS but not the drivers...

Ok so I've just tried your suggestion and I got just another short reaction from my cam. The blue light on it just lit up for half a sec and then turned off again. I still got no video preview though.

Hey guys,

I'm just posting here again so some more people can see the thread.
The problem still hasn't solved itself and I'm close to just buying a new cam eventhough I just got this one 2 months ago...
OBS just won't recognize my cam anymore for no apparent reason.

I'm just wating for a dev or some IT-Jesus to help me out -.-
